About me

·        Who I am
I live alternately in Zutphen and Orleans and now paint from a hybrid blend of realism and abstraction. My artistic career began in kindergarten, when a teacher recognized my drawings as a special talent. After a period of study and work, I found the space to pursue my creative dreams during the coronavirus pandemic. As a self-taught artist, I'm constantly learning through experimentation and learning from various sources.

·        What I make
My work moves between "seeing" and "feeling." Realistic portraits of people and animals are found alongside abstract pieces in which color, light, and texture tell a story. The painting process is captivating, allowing you to let go and rediscover it; this creates works that radiate peace and hope.

·        Inspiration and place
Zutphen and Orleans both inspire me: historic, on the river, surrounded by castles and châteaux. This synthesis of history and freedom is reflected in my paintings and makes every journey unique.
